Troop Service Project - Nativity Scene Setup

Posted on Nov 22 2014 - 8:14am

Each year, our Troop takes on a service project for our Chartered Organization and sets up the Nativity Scene in the courtyard at St Timothy's.  Please join us on Saturday, November 29th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) to help.   Uniform is work clothes, with work gloves.  Tools used are hammers, socket wrenches, etc, so if you have a tool kit to bring, please do so.  Adults and Scouts are needed.  This is manual labor, so dress accordingly.  Please sign up on the calendar.  We will start at 9am, and expect to be done not later than noon.  We could be done sooner if we have enough workers.   Thanks for your help.  SM Warsocki

Is your Youth Protection Training (YPT) up to date or expired?  In order to recharter and earn Journey to Excellence we need to have trained volunteersAll Adults and Parents should go to www.myscouting.org and Click Youth Protection Training (YPT) Red Button and it takes you to E-learning. Under the Boy Scout Tab you will find the appropriate YPT Course. Registered Troop Committee Members are also required to take the Troop Commitee Challenge, and it is recommended for all Parents to take this course as well to learn how a troop committee supports the Program for the boys. Assistant Scoutmasters:  You need in-person training and a course is coming up.

Troop Elections for 18 September 2014

Posted on Sep 13 2014 - 11:52pm

As discussed at last Thursdays Troop meeting, attached are the instructions, position descriptions and the nomination form for this Thursday’s (18 Sept) elections.  Please review carefully the job descriptions and election process.  There are changes on the order of election, who is eligible to run and how many positions you can self-nominate for.  Again there will be six positions elected for PL and six for APL.  We will still elect three ASPLs.  Because of the growth of the troop I am once again suspending for this election the restriction of running for PL in consecutive terms.  The SPL however remains only one term and a break.  Also only first class scouts may run for the APL position I will consider a second class scout for APL if he is close to making first class (less than two months).
