Awesome Results from Klondike Derby!!!!

Posted on Jan 22 2017 - 9:12pm

We had an extremely successful weekend at the Klondike Derby and Troop 7369 was a star!  The new composite material sled constructed by our Scouts with instruction from Dr. Dragone absolutely smoked the competition - taking 1st place in the sled race!  Hayden Dalrymple sent out a video link for your enjoyment.   Invisible Patrol earned 1st place in the Scout skills competition for the 5th year in a row - that's absoutely amazing!!!!!  Flaming Ice Cubes earned 3rd place honors in the Scout skills competition - great job guys!   And High Voltage won 1st place in the chili cook off with Carl Baumann's recipe!  Flaming Ice Cubes won 2nd place in the chili cook off with Connor Kentfield's special seasonings!  Our adults ran stations for two man saw and the compass course!  Our OA members ran the campfire and did a great job!  A great time was had by all despite the mud...  Please make sure to check for ticks, apparently they are not all dead yet...

Klondike Gear Clean Up

Posted on Jan 22 2017 - 9:12pm

For those who took tents or other gear home to clean after the Klondike Derby, please make sure to clean and dry everything as soon as possible.  Remember that tents DO NOT go in the wash - that ruins the waterproofing.  Dry them and then sweep them out, spot cleaning as necessary.  Please bring clean gear back to the Troop meeting this week.

Eagle Scout Honor Guard

Posted on Jan 22 2017 - 9:12pm

Congratulations to Kevin Choi, Ben Miller, and Benjamin Warsocki, our three Scouts who were selected to participate in the Eagle Scout Honor Guard for the Inaugural Parade.  Over 240 Eagle Scouts submitted applications for the 66 available slots.  Kevin carried the New York flag, Ben carried the Wyoming flag, and Benjamin carried the Guam flag.  Though the parade was delayed due to protesters, the Scouts were well recognized once it began.  Great job guys!
